At Francis Holland, through a planned programme of Careers Education, Information and Guidance, the Careers Department aims to help every girl to develop the skills and abilities to realise her full potential and play an effective and rewarding role in wider society.
Alumni can support the school by supporting our Careers Department and becoming a Careers Champion. Champions provide a range of opportunities for pupils and fellow alumni, including: mentoring, interview practice, work experience opportunities, lectures, network contacts and judging school competitions. Our Champions cover a diverse range of industries and we are always looking for more, so volunteer today!

A chance to give back and support other FHS alumni. Alumni mentors are experienced professionals or students who have agreed to share their skills, knowledge and experience with other FHS alumni or current pupils. They act as a guide and support to their mentee in a series of informal one-to-one discussions. These discussions take place primarily on-line via email, or phone, as agreed. You may also have the opportunity for face to face meetings if you are located in the same town or city.

What are mentees?
Mentees are alumni or pupils who benefit from the experience and guidance of a mentor who has knowledge of a particular industry or subject. The mentor may also be a student who is able to support a pupil through the university application process. Mentees are provided the opportunity to take responsibility for managing their own career development.
