Entering A1 on Thursday afternoon, there was a buzz of excitement as we welcomed famous director Sarah Esdaile.
After eagerly sitting down, we all waited in anticipation for her to pass down the wisdom she has gleaned in the theatre and film industry. A Francis Holland alumna, Sarah has directed many iconic British TV programmes including East Enders and Call the Midwife. She also discussed her impressive career as a theatre director and well-timed transition to film right before the Covid-19 pandemic. Sarah filled our afternoon with laughter, curiosity and wonder.
Sarah Esdaile’s talk was extremely inspirational, resulting in a spirited Q&A from a cluster of fascinated students.
