Mrs Haydon presents the Friend of the Earth Award at the Belgravia Awards 2024

On Tuesday 23rd January, we were delighted to once again sponsor the Friend of the Earth Award, which champions sustainability in the local community, at the Belgravia Awards 2024

The awards took place in the magnificent Ballroom at the Berkeley Hotel, Knightsbridge, and it was wonderful to catch up with friends old and new, while celebrating the impressive achievements of local individuals and businesses in the amazing community FHS has been so lucky to call home for nearly 143 years.

A focus on sustainability is now central to our ethos at FHS, and we have a number of creative initiatives in the pipeline to help us achieve our goal of becoming a carbon neutral school by 2030. The Junior School has been awarded the coveted Eco-Schools Green Flag – an amazing achievement! – and the Senior School are well on their way to also achieving this.

Congratulations to the very worthy winner of the Friend of the Earth Award, Lady Carole Bamford at Daylesford, to the runners up, Beulah London and the Grosvenor Gardening Team, and to all the other award winners and nominees.

Thank you so much to Belgravia Magazine for hosting such a fantastic event. We are already looking forward to next year’s!
