This week saw the return of one of the most popular Junior School Events: International Evening. With the help of many parents in our wonderful community, there were over 20 countries represented. We were very fortunate that the sun shone and, so, for the first time ever the evening was held outdoors. The playground was awash with colour as flags flew high and girls and parents dressed in their country’s traditional outfits. The food was plentiful and delicious. We thank you all so much for your time and generosity! We were also lucky to be treated to wonderful Spanish and South Asian dances! It was such a fantastic evening, we are already looking forward to the next!
Miss Smith, Deputy Head of the Junior School
Yesterday we all had an amazing time at International Evening. We had fantastic food and we saw talented dancers. The children were enjoying the Italian music. I enjoyed the samosas from the Indian table. I was doing the Indian dance with Amal, Arya and Arianna. Some of the helpful parents spent all day cooking lovely food for us. Did you try the amazing doughnut necklaces from the Russian table? It was very busy! Everyone was chatting and laughing. The flamenco dancing was unbelievable. All the costumes were beautiful and pretty. It was a cheerful evening. By the end I was full and happiness spread from stall to stall. It was a very joyful day! – Isabella L-W, Year 2
