Spring Concert

The end of term Spring Concert was as much of a triumph as usual, although this year took on a somewhat different format

Bearing in mind that two years ago it was held in Cadogan Hall and then last year it was cancelled at the last moment, this year was different again.  The opening Hallelujah Chorus and closing ‘Heavens are Telling‘ chorus from Haydn’s Creation involved over 100 performers and were both pre-recorded.

In the middle were six live-streamed performances from our smaller groups from the Senior Hall.  Coming so soon after Lockdown as it did it was particularly joyful and impressive.  Senior Strings’ rendition of the finale of Bach’s 3rd Brandenburg Concerto was a highlight, as well as Lucy Moody’s and Caitlin McGinn’s A Level compositions.  There were three ‘live’ members of the audience in the Hall, aside from the performers themselves, and over 100 tuned into the live-stream.  Happy Easter everyone!
