We are delighted to share that Sixth Form pupil, Selin A has won the Young Reporter Scheme’s Article of the Week with her piece on digital poverty.
The Young Reporter Scheme is a schools programme giving students an opportunity to write for a real live online newspaper. Pupils are able to start their writing career by uploading articles directly onto the Newsquest websites within specified deadlines and categories. Selin A’s article, “Tacking digital poverty: Power to Connect” addresses issues surrounding access to technology and looks at an initiative set up by Wandsworth Council to tackle digital exclusion.
