National Poetry Day 2017

Girls reading poetry aloud
Girls reading poetry aloud
This year, National Poetry Day fell on Thursday 26th October. The theme was 'Freedom' and we held an FHS Poetry Week at school. Students studied a variety of poems in class, whilst at break time on Thursday Senior School students performed poems to their peers in the playground. The Junior School were enthralled! We also held a poetry themed assembly complete with sung versions of Rupert Brooke poems and Mandarin readings of Li Po. What a wonderful week! Thank you to the English department for coordinating these exciting activities.
