Alumni are invited to the School's production of Made in Dagenham, performed this year for one night only - Tuesday 1st February at 7.30pm - at the Adelphi Theatre.
Based on the 2010 film of the same name, which in turn was based on the real events of the Ford sewing machinists strike of 1968, Made in Dagenham tells the story of Rita O’Grady, a factory worker who leads her friends in a battle against Ford and the corruption of the Union that is supposed to protect them when it is announced that the stitching room workers will have their pay grade dropped to ‘unskilled’. This British musical comedy made its West End and world premiere at the Adelphi Theatre in 2014 and so it seems fitting that FHS pupils return this show, about friendship, love and female empowerment, to its roots.
Tickets for the show can be booked using the link here. We hope to see you there - please email me alumni@fhs-sw1.org.uk if you are attending.
