On Thursday 23rd March, the FHS community gathered in St Mary’s Church for another spectacular Spring Concert to celebrate the talent we have at FHS, not only amongst the student body but also amongst staff, parents and alumni. With a complex and varied programme of performances from mesmerising ‘cello, flute, organ and piano soloists to stunning vocalists, audiences were captivated from start to finish – not least by the triumphant final performances from our massed choir and orchestra performing Fauré’s enchanting Requiem and Parry’s majestic I was glad. The highlights were abundant, and special mention must go to the three winners of our recent Fanny Davies Music Festival: Year 7-9 Winner, Helena Glover (Year 7), Runner Up, Inga de Vegvar (Year 11), and overall Winner, Teresa de Oliveira Munoz De La Espada (Year 13).
Yet again, the Music Department has triumphed with another wonderful evening of music, and thank you to all who joined us.
