Unveiling of Junior WWI Mosaic

Last week Francis Holland Junior School girls and staff all worked together to create a mosaic to commemorate the centenary of WW1.  Today the girls were visited by two Chelsea Pensioners, a serving Naval Officer and serving Army Officer to help unveil the mosaic.  The girls held a special service to mark the occasion with readings of War Poems written by girls in Year Six and a reflective diary extract of a girl starting school at Francis Holland in 1914.   The event was very special and will be remembered by everyone for years to come.
