Old Girl Talk at Higher Education Event

The guests heard from a range of speakers, including former FHS student, Tara Jane Kerpens Lee and two current Upper Sixth students.
Lower Sixth students and their parents attended a Higher Education Evening at FHS on Thursday 3rd March.

The guests heard from a range of speakers, including Luke Chapman, a representative of King’s College London, a former FHS student, Tara Jane Kerpens Lee and two current Upper Sixth students. The talks covered UCAS applications, applying to competitive universities and writing personal statements. School staff offered specialist advice about Art Foundation courses, Oxbridge applications and studying abroad.

Tara Jane Kerpens Lee (Old Girl) studied Chemistry, History, Spanish and Mathematics A levels and Geography and Critical Thinking AS levels at FHS. She read History and Spanish at Durham from 2008 - 2012. During her year abroad, she worked and studied in Spain. After graduating, she worked at Hampton Court Palace and is currently working in the Education Service at Parliament.
