Opening last month to much acclaim: The Guardian described the exhibition as ‘overflowing with her intensely covetable work – a dizzying excess of good taste’; Evening Standard ‘a stunning celebration of the designer’s work’, and The Telegraph ‘a dazzling and brutally honest show’.
The exhibition charts the evolution of Chanel’s style, from the opening of her first millinery boutique in 1910 to her final collection in 1971. Featuring unique pieces from the V&A’s collection, Chanel's oeuvre spans an impressive 60 years and showcases her most eminent designs.
This will be the largest event of its kind hosted by the FHS Old Girls’ Society, and we hope you will join us in what promises to be a magical celebration of the life and works of Gabrielle Chanel.
