At FHS we have a well-established Sixth Form Speaker Programme, with thought-provoking lectures designed to inspire and prepare our pupils for life beyond A Levels. Our guest speakers represent a wide variety of professions and academic disciplines with pupils afforded the fantastic opportunity to attend regular lectures.
On Thursday 25th March, we welcomed alumna and film director, Charlotte C Carroll, who was our guest speaker. The event was recorded and is now available for you to watch here.
Charlotte spoke about her fascinating career as an actress, producer, screenwriter and director of award-winning movies. Her short film A Youth (2020) qualified for the Oscars and the BAFTAs this year, and she also directed the award-wining drama Red Crayon (2018), which tells the story of a young child escaping destruction and death in Syria. Charlotte shared her experiences as a prominent female figure in the film industry.
We have an exclusive preview of her upcoming release, The Topic, here.
