A Level results 2020

Congratulations to our Upper Sixth girls on their outstanding results this year
14 Aug 2020
School News
In this unprecedented year, the school’s headline results rightly show the continued upward trajectory of our academic performance. Behind the headlines there are unique individuals and our academic and pastoral team have worked tirelessly to ensure that girls continue to access the top universities even in the storm of controversy over calculated grades.

Despite the volatility reflected in the apparent unfairness of the standardisation process, we are finding understanding and support from most universities. Our students have secured places at top universities in the UK and North America, and we are delighted with their deserved success. Nevertheless, some of the brightest students have seen their grades unjustifiably lowered and there is anger and disappointment for some, coupled with frustration that the appeals process is still unclear. Patience and resilience will be needed whilst this uncertainty continues.
