FHS Alumna Chloe Houweling Judges Poetry Competition

On Friday 24th June, Chloe Houweling judged our MFL Poetry Competition.
The Margaret Bowden Modern Foreign Languages Poetry Competition 2016

On Friday 24th June, Francis Holland Alumna Chloe Houweling and her collegue Roberta Ferrari, both from Tiffany's flagship store in London, came into school to judge our Modern Foreign languages competition.

Students from Year 7 to the Sixth Form treated us to wonderful, funny and deeply moving recitals of a wide range of poems from all around the world. We were lucky this year to welcome two judges, talented and enthusiastic linguists themselves. We are very grateful to our judges for choosing the winners. A very difficult task, they both admitted as standards were so high.

A big thank-you to all participants and our guests for a great morning of beautiful poetry.
