Having achieved a First from Royal Holloway in Multi-Lingual Studies, Cecilia undertook postgraduate study at Gemological Institute of America and is now a jewellery designer. Cecilia spoke to students about grading gem stones, design and production and even filming for photo shoots. It was extremely interesting to find out about the different aspects of jewellery design. As well as working for prestigious jeweller Kiki McDonough, Cecilia runs her own jewellery design business. She spoke about learning from her mistakes, the importance of time management and organisation, and even keeping your receipts for end of year tax returns!
We loved hearing from Cecilia and hope that she’ll be back in school to help us with our Young Enterprise programme which will start for the Sixth Form in September.
