For those of you who are local to Battersea, please consider becoming a ‘Coronavirus Angel’ organised by St Mary’s Church. Coronavirus Angels will try and put people who are self-isolating or particularly vulnerable in contact with individuals who can help them in very practical ways in the coming weeks. Using a dedicated phone line and email address, they will be encouraging people to ask for help from trusted local people for simple tasks like shopping, dog walking, collecting prescriptions. Similarly we are looking for people of goodwill from our neighbourhood to volunteer to be Coronavirus Angels for the coming weeks, showing solidarity in practical ways with people in need.
Over the next few days, if you can help, please email angels@stmarysbattersea.org.uk
