After the phenomenal success of last year’s production of The Snow Queen, Francis Holland School, Sloane Square, is proud to present one of the great musicals, SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN, in the West End. This classic show brilliantly reflects the transition in 1920s Hollywood from the silent movies to the talkies, all told through the escapades of Don Lockwood (originally played by Gene Kelly in the film). Don and his comedy sidekick, Cosmo, are stars of the silent screen, but have to find their voices (and dancing skills) to make it in talking pictures. Along the way Don falls in love with a chorus girl, Kathy, whilst fighting off the amorous attentions of his co-star, Lina Lamont. Filled with memorable songs such as ‘Good Morning’, ‘Make Em Laugh’ and ‘Singin’ in the Rain’, this hilarious and enchanting musical is perfect for the whole family.
